Methods of Evocation

Amdusias, sometimes called Amdukias or Amduscias in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, is a demon who appears to the exorcist in the form of a unicorn, but will request to shift to the shape of a man, with the transformation being accompanied by a loud orchestra. He can help the exorcist make acquaintances and peculiarly can also make trees bend. Rather than the traditional unicorn that may appear in the mind of dear reader, in the past unicorns were seen as real creatures regarded by science; the modern image of the unicorn was based on the description of a rhino as a horned horse. Thus it is possible that Amdusias will present first as what we now call the rhino, rather than a horse with a single horn.
