Info

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (born February 13th, 1835; died May 26th, 1908) was an Indian religious leader most known for being the founder of The Ahmadist Sect of Islam. The Ahmadist Sect's core belief is that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was the real Messiah and Mahdi based on multiple connections made between his appearance, age, and personality from ancient prophecies and the argument Jesus survived his crucifixion before later dying in Kashmir at the age of one hundred and twenty, thus delegitimizing the idea Jesus was appointed by God to die for man's sins. According to Ahmad, instead of Jesus, Moses was the actual first coming.

Foundation of the Ahmadist Sect

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad first claimed he was the real Messiah around 1882 and did so multiple times afterward. After which he amassed a group of followers and wrote scriptures explaining his belief in his own messiahhood. His arguments were mostly based on the idea Jesus survived his crucifixion before dying a natural death in Kashmir at the tender age of one-hundred and twenty, thus delegitimizing the idea Jesus was appointed by God to die for man's sins and that instead Moses was supposed to be viewed as the Messiah. Even after his death in 1908, some maintain he was the second coming, or at least appointed by God, including his successor Khalifah up until 1914.
